These are listed below, and I will elaborate on them as you continue to read this article:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Antennas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wind resistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Battery life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Omnidirectional sensors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frequency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Signal transmission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Camera<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smart modes and <em>Active track<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aspecto-fisico-del-air-3\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Physical_appearance_of_AIR_3\"><\/span>Physical appearance of AIR 3<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>AIR 3<\/strong> continues the <strong>same design line<\/strong> that brought the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3stQfRy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MAVIC 3<\/a>: thinner and slimmer arms, and a <strong>sharper front end<\/strong> design than its predecessor, the AIR 2s, which although similar, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.es\/dp\/B07FRWP5HX?&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;tag=javiergomiz0a-21&amp;linkId=128e84be54b280c2624639dad36f7c7c&amp;language=es_ES&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">DJI AIR 3<\/a> evolves with a more <strong>aerodynamic and aggressive<\/strong> design.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-antenas\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Antennas\"><\/span>Antennas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The front legs are antennae, and are oriented towards the inside of the drone, giving it <strong>more stability<\/strong> when connecting to any surface and at take-off.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"211\" src=\"https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dron-dji-air-3-javiergomiz.jpg\" alt=\"New DJI AIR 3\" class=\"wp-image-5985\" srcset=\"https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dron-dji-air-3-javiergomiz.jpg 900w, https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dron-dji-air-3-javiergomiz-300x70.jpg 300w, https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dron-dji-air-3-javiergomiz-768x180.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-color\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Colour\"><\/span>Colour<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The colour remains the same, grey, but a little <strong>darker than the<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3rTHMah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MAVIC AIR 2s<\/a>, so DJI makes it clear that through the <strong>use of colour<\/strong> it defines the status of each drone, leaving the darker colours for the <strong>higher-end<\/strong> drones.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-dimensiones-y-resistencia-al-viento\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dimensions_and_wind_resistance\"><\/span>Dimensions and wind resistance<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>It is a <strong>larger and more compact drone<\/strong> than the AIR 2s, both folded and stretched. <strong>The propellers<\/strong> are also larger, giving it greater stability and <strong>wind resistance<\/strong> of up to 43 km\/h (12 m\/s).<\/p>\n\n<p>In this particular area of <strong>wind resistance<\/strong>, the DJI AIR 3 improves on previous versions of the AIR range and even on the MAVIC, putting it on a par with the ENTERPRISE.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-peso\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Weight\"><\/span>Weight<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The <strong>weight of the AIR 3<\/strong> is still under 900 grams, more precisely <strong>720 grams<\/strong>, which means that this drone belongs to the <a href=\"https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/en\/type-of-drones\/\">type of drone<\/a> with the <strong>C1 class marking<\/strong> of the European regulations.<\/p>\n\n<p>This <strong>class marking<\/strong> is already printed on the drone on a sticker that also marks the decibels that the drone&#8217;s propellers reach in motion, 81dB, more specifically, as in the MAVIC 3.<\/p>\n\n<p>These 720 grams are very well thought out because with this weight, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.es\/dp\/B07FRWP5HX?&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;tag=javiergomiz0a-21&amp;linkId=128e84be54b280c2624639dad36f7c7c&amp;language=es_ES&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">DJI AIR 3<\/a> could be fitted with either a propeller saver or a parachute and it would still be within the 900 grams of its class 1 marking.<\/p>\n\n<p>Do you know what this <strong>class marking<\/strong> means? In my article on the <a href=\"https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/en\/open-category-civil-drones\/\">&#8216;open&#8217; category of civil drones<\/a> I talk about it.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-base\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Base\"><\/span>Base<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>Its <strong>bottom, or base<\/strong>, has <strong>heat sinks<\/strong>, like previous models, but the AIR 3 has a few more heat sinks on the sides and rear.<\/p>\n\n<p>All in all, all these <strong>new changes<\/strong> in terms of design and construction make this AIR 3 a very <strong>attractive and different<\/strong> drone to the previous versions of the AIR range.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-baterias\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Batteries\"><\/span>Batteries<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The batteries change completely in design and usability, here there is a <strong>considerable change compared to the<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3rTHMah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AIR 2s<\/a> and that is that the batteries are not integrated into the top, but are placed and removed from the <strong>back<\/strong>, like the MAVIC 3. Like a <strong>cannon<\/strong> when loaded with shrapnel.<\/p>\n\n<p>Each battery has a charge of <strong>4241 mAh<\/strong>, similar to that of the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4513LdG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MAVIC 3 Classic<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3OAgEpx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mavic 3 Pro<\/a>, giving us, a priori, an autonomy of <strong>46 minutes in movement<\/strong> with respect to the 31 minutes of the AIR 2s that the manufacturer marked us; and <strong>42 minutes in stationary flight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>As always it is recommended to land with 20% of the battery remaining, then you will enjoy approximately 31-33&#8242; of flight time, and this will depend on the flight conditions and piloting at that moment.<\/p>\n\n<p>So if you decide to buy the <strong>&#8220;Fly more combo&#8221;<\/strong> kit, which comes with two more batteries, it gives you plenty of time for any standard job.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-opcion-fly-more-combo\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fly_more_combo_option\"><\/span>Fly more combo option<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.es\/dp\/B07FRWP5HX?&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;tag=javiergomiz0a-21&amp;linkId=128e84be54b280c2624639dad36f7c7c&amp;language=es_ES&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">DJI AIR 3 Fly more combo<\/a> option incorporates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hub case<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shoulder bag<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Se venden <strong>por separado<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Case with ND (Neutral Density) filters 8ND,16ND, 32ND and 64ND<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>65W car charger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DJI Care Refresh<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adaptor for 65W and 100W power supply<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1386\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1386 \/ 1386;\" width=\"1386\" autoplay=\"\" controls=\"\" loop=\"\" muted=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dji-air-3-hub-cargador-javiergomiz.webm\" playsinline=\"\"><\/video><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>One <strong>negative aspect<\/strong> is that <strong>it does not come with a mains charging plug<\/strong>, although it does come with a cable from the <em>hub<\/em> to the socket. You will have to buy a separate charger, and there are 2 types:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>60&#8242; with a <strong>100W<\/strong> charger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80&#8242; with a <strong>65W<\/strong> charger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>charging case (<em>hub<\/em>)<\/strong> with space for 3 batteries, very similar to the one already included in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.es\/dp\/B07FRWP5HX?&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;tag=javiergomiz0a-21&amp;linkId=128e84be54b280c2624639dad36f7c7c&amp;language=es_ES&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mavic MINI 2<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/javiergomiz.com\/en\/dji-mini-3-pro\/\">Mavic MINI 3 PRO<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>You can use lower wattage chargers but the charging time will take forever if you do not use plugs of the wattage indicated by the manufacturer. You can <strong>save these trajectories<\/strong> for later use. You will arrive at the scene and have it in a moment and you can move on to another task.<\/p>\n\n<p>For me, it was a <strong>great decision by DJI<\/strong> to include this function for the DJI AIR 3.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-perfiles-de-color\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Colour_profiles\"><\/span>Colour profiles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>With both cameras we can record in the same colour profiles:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>10-bit D-LOG M<\/strong> to help you retain more detail in highlights and shadows. With the AIR 2s we were able to record in D-CINElike as a flat profile, but not as high quality as with this D-LOG M.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>10-bit HLG<\/strong>, a flatter, more intermediate profile<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Down to 8 bits if we abandon any of these flat colour profiles for the normal mode.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-camara-vertical\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Vertical_camera\"><\/span>Vertical camera<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>The <strong>AIR 3&#8217;s camera does not rotate<\/strong> as the MINI 3&#8217;s does. DJI has solved this <strong>by using the full 4\/3&#8243;<\/strong> sensor space of the camera, so there will be a fuller image with no loss of information than if we record in landscape format and then crop to 9:16 when editing.<\/p>\n\n<p>The only limitation is that in this mode it <strong>only records in 1080p and 2.7K<\/strong>, although, honestly, we don&#8217;t need more, or at least I don&#8217;t, as this function is mainly reserved for creating <strong>content for socials<\/strong> where lower quality is needed.<\/p>\n\n<p>This VERTICAL mode works with all modes: <em>Active track<\/em>, <em>Quickshot<\/em>, <em>Mastershot<\/em>, Night mode&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p>Both cameras record in all colour profiles:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Normal profile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HLG 10-bit profile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>D-LOG M 10 bit plane, the same as the MAVIC 3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-modos-de-vuelo-inteligente\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Intelligent_flight_modes\"><\/span>Intelligent flight modes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>DJI has spared absolutely nothing with this drone.
