The C1 class marking for the DJI Mavic Air 2s has finally arrived.
After DJI’s own timeline, first in January and then in March 2024, the firmware update for the DJI Air 2s finally arrived in mid-April.
These are the steps you have to follow to first request the class marking sticker to be sent to you. After 20-30 days you will have the option to enter the remote ID number on your Air 2s.
Steps to apply for class C1 marking for AIR 2s
Here are the steps to apply for your C1 class marking.
To get the C1 class marking firmware update message you must turn on your drone and link it to your remote control, only if you have the ‘automatic updates‘ option enabled, this message will appear by itself as soon as the drone-remote control linking is finished.
If not, you will have to look for the automatic update manually.
Now you will get an update that did not appear automatically before.
Before starting the download and update, make sure you have enough battery (maxed out) on both the drone and the remote control as the installation will be just over 1GB and will take a while.
Once installed, go to ‘Support’ and click on ‘Label request’.
If you have already entered your details, check that they are correct and continue with the process.
Only the last step of the process is missing and your petition is on its way!

You can continue to use your DJI Air 2s while the stickers will be delivered to your home within 20-30 days. You can then stick them on your drone.
DJI will activate the option for you to enter the remote identification number for drones also via your controller when sending you the labels, so you will no longer need to buy the remote id.
