Today I want to share a very special experience I had making the wedding video in Mallorca for Natascha and Marius, a lovely German couple who chose some of the most beautiful places on the island to celebrate their love and union in marriage: the church of Andratx and the Finca Biniorella.
Mallorca has become one of the favourite destinations for those who dream of a special wedding, with sea, mountains and a perfect climate as a backdrop. This Mediterranean island has the capacity to offer magical spots for both intimate ceremonies and celebrations in style, and why not, also for saying ‘I do’ beforehand with an original proposal of marriage.
This article is not only a summary of my day as a wedding videographer, but a story told from the inside, with the details that can only be experienced when you see everything from behind the camera. For that day I was lucky and honoured to have the great professional and friend, the photographer Alejandro Crespí.

ToggleIntimate preparations in two special corners of Mallorca
The day began with Marius at the finca Can Joan Pere, a place on the outskirts of Andratx in the middle of the countryside where you can breathe Mallorcan authenticity on all four sides. Marius, surrounded by his best friends, chose this place to start getting ready for the big day: laughter, nerves and many signs of support, affection and attention between them did not stop happening.
While Marius was getting ready, Alejandro and I captured detailed shots of the family watch, the cufflinks, the perfume and the rest of the clothes he would be wearing that day. Everything was flowing smoothly although the nerves were already showing, Marius’s face reflected the uneasiness that comes from not knowing how events would unfold that day.
The atmosphere was calm, with midday light perfect for the first shots inside the room and in the beautiful surroundings.
Once we had finished our time with Marius and after an hour and a half of video with camera and drone, I headed to Natascha’s family home in Port d’Andratx.
There, punctually, Natascha was waiting for us with her mother and ‘her girls’, a beautiful home in one of the most select urbanisations on the coast of Andratx with breathtaking views. Between the final touches of make-up and hugs from her mother and sister, we recorded unforgettable moments full of emotion.
Natascha’s dress, still hidden from her friends, gave light and dressed her entire room when she entered it. The shoes prepared with care, the bouquet resting on the bed that she would later hold on to so as not to let go… each element gave shape to the visual story of Natascha and Marius’ wedding video in Mallorca.
A ceremony with soul in the port of Andratx
The ceremony took place in the parish church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, right in the heart of Puerto de Andratx. A charming temple, where every corner seemed designed for an intimate and emotional moment. As the guests arrived, there was anticipation and joy but also many, many nerves.
Their faces reflected the nervousness of the moment, but at the same time the satisfaction of seeing the dream they had waited so long for, and which had cost them so much effort and time, come true.
The last to enter the church, as was tradition, was Natascha. Marius was waiting for her at the altar, full of emotion, and could not help shedding a tear or two as he watched his bride-to-be approach the altar. It was a very emotional moment.
During the ceremony and the vows, the looks and sincere tears became the focus of attention for all the family members and guests. I moved carefully between the pews, looking for shots that would tell the story without interrupting the naturalness of the moment and causing as little distraction as possible during the ceremony.
Alejandro and I coordinated perfectly as always so that not a single moment of photo and video escaped us.
Triumphal exit from the church, live music and rose petals
After the ceremony, the newlyweds left the church amidst a shower of rose petals as a live band of musicians, Three of Kind, played ‘I Love You Baby’, and I, at the couple’s feet, filmed this movie-like moment.
Family and friends formed an aisle outside the church as they sang and danced amidst cheers. The typical ‘long live the bride and groom’ was heard all the time.
As soon as the music ended, the protagonists, family and friends melted into a thousand hugs and kisses. It was a very funny and special moment. They were now officially husband and wife!
Before leaving for Biniorella, a few quick photos were taken with the family in front of the church for a souvenir, and then the bride and groom got into…. Alejandro’s car! Yes, they did. There was a small problem with the official car. The event didn’t happen much more and everything was taken with humour. Few things would tarnish that fantastic day.
So we set off for Finca Biniorella, one of the most special and spectacular fincas where to celebrate wedding events in Mallorca.
Arrival in Biniorella: music, toast and open-air celebration
The guests arrived at the finca in organised transport, while Natascha and Marius took the opportunity to have their first session as newlyweds in the interiors of the finca and in the main garden with Alejandro and myself.
One option that many couples I work with consider is to hire a drone show. This show delights the audience with its visual and spectacular nature. You can request a quote for this type of show at Javier Gómiz.
It must be said that Biniorella’s exteriors are a marvel: wide green spaces full of holm oaks and centenary trees and a Mediterranean atmosphere that is difficult to match.
Once Natascha and Marius had finished their photos, they made a triumphal entrance into the outdoor courtyard, dancing to music and surprising the guests, followed by appetizers and a cocktail. I then took the opportunity to take out one of my drones and capture the moment against the backdrop of the surroundings.
Drone shots are a must in any self-respecting wedding video in Mallorca. Almost all weddings take place in spectacular fincas and farmhouses. Aerial videos add value and help to give a different and special touch to the final video that I deliver.
During the cocktail, which lasted approximately two hours, Three of a kind continued to liven up the moment. The truth is that they are a great band, full of strength and personality, it was the first time I met them and they have a very funny and interesting staging.
A dinner under the stars and an unforgettable end to the party
The dinner was held in the estate’s large garden, decorated with warm lights, elegant tables and an inviting layout for conversation. There were emotional speeches, good food and, above all, lots of smiles and tears, but of joy. The atmosphere was perfect to immortalise all those little gestures with my camera.
At the end of the dinner there was a toast with Möet champagne, which the bride and groom served between glasses arranged in the shape of a castle, and a final dance between the protagonists before entering the party room in the inner courtyard, where the last part of the event would begin.
The party went on well into the early hours of the morning, with an open bar, music, a bouquet toss and a midnight snack for which everyone was grateful. There were some great moments during that party that could only enhance the final wedding video.
As a videographer, I ended my day with camera in hand and a smile on my face, knowing that I had been part of something really beautiful and satisfied with the material obtained. Grateful to all those present who gave us their best moments helping us in our work.
